Attila has written a short foreword for the book, and for free too! What a nice man! The best thing is that he has never met me or heard of me, but he responded to an unsolicited letter via his favourite pub (pubmail....hmmmm!) almost straight away, and then abided by my ridiculous timescale of needing something "tomorrow if possible".

Glad my Attila tip worked out for you. He's very much a champion of pub culture. For example, Radio 4 came down to Brighton a year ago to record a long interview for a one-hour retrospective of his career, and he insisted they recorded it in the Evening Star. Spent as much time in the interview talking about his love of pubs as talking about his career, bless him.
