Stanley Arms (raved about real ale pub in Portslade)

I've not been to any of the other pubs/ bars in that list, but I have been to The Jamaica Inn, and I definately think it deserves a mention in your book.
It's a brilliant little pub, with (as the name would indicate) a Jamaican theme throughout.
It has a great atmosphere that combines the intimacy of 'a local' with the all embracing 'anyone's welcome' vibe of a themed pub.
The Jamaican Inn features; a pool table, a dart board (with regular dart tournaments), regular djs (playing a variety of West Indian influenced genres), and a beer garden which is perfect for lounging around on a sunny Sunday while you eat your Jamaican Roast.
The food at the pub is cooked by the pub's owner, and if you can handle the massive servings, it's one of the best places I know for a Sunday lunch. Whether you choose the Rum Drunk Jerk Chicken, the Goat Curry or the Nut Roast (or any other finger licking delicacy on the menu), you wont be disapointed.
Drinks wise, they stock a variety of rums and specialist spirits, occassionally mixing up a punch with a "secret Jamaican recipe", which is worth checking out.
In terms of beers, this isnt the place for Real Ales, though they do stock Double Dragon Jamaican Stout. This is primarily a lager pub, so expect the Red Stripe to flow.
